  These are expensive and ugly. I keep trying to stop buying them. But then within a day or two of the units bring unplugged, my older cat Bruce is like, “wait a minute . . . I forgot, I actually HATE the younger cats!” So I get more. Use them for a few more months. Things go back to being good. I conclude that we have reached genuine harmony. I let the last refill run out. Bruce starts hating the younger cats again. I buy more. Peace returns . . . and so on.
  
  I wish they were nonsense because I’d save $30 a month and reclaim two outlets. They’re not nonsense. If you have tense cats they work miracles.
  
  As other reviewers have noted, they can get warm, and it’s important that the refills get changed on time. We set a reminder to change them every 28 days and that seems to work. (At that point they’re very nearly dried out without starting to burn.)
  
  All grumpiness and dry humor aside: I really am grateful for this product. It clearly is helping our middle aged cat live in harmony with two playful young cats.

  My cat could not be held or petted without trying to bite. She would get so wound up, she would relieve stress by running laps back and forth down the hall from BR to den. I felt so bad for her. Would play the 'fishing' game for hours each day just to help her release up all that pent up stress and energy.
  
  After moving to a new city, I took her to a new vet for her shot updates... a practice exclusively dedicated to cats. As soon as i walked in my cat was calm, let us pet her, let the vet look at her teeth - and all without a hint of aggression. That's when I noticed they had Feliways in every outlet. Wow. I came home and immediately ordered 8 atomizers for my living/dining room, kitchen and BR. Have multiples in the larger rooms. Bless her heart, she is finally close to being a normal cat. Still does not like to be held very long, but at least she doesn't try to bite me when I happen to pet her. Worth every nickel just to see her finally able to relax.

  Background story: I have 2 cats that simply refuse to get along. I’m talking bullying, growling, chasing..the works!
  This is my 3rd try at Feliway (having run out and not replenished)
  Well let me tell you..after 2 1/2 weeks of having the diffuser plugged in I started seeing my 2 babies be able to “coexist” in the same room, without hissing & growling! That’s a miracle all on its own. My older cat seems to be more relaxed and not so reclusive and easily intimidated by the younger one. (That had happened when I had the previous diffusers, but I was skeptical and let it run out) Now we can ABSOLUTELY see the difference in the dynamic and behavior. Also trying the new “Optimal” in my bedroom and it seems to be making a difference so far.
  All is well in Paloma & Pyris’s household

  These worked good at first, but I don't notice the same effect anymore. They helped calm a feral kitten we rescued, allowed him to get comfortable. The vet used this and he melted like butter at her office. It had a milder effect at my home. So they served their initial purpose. I am probably going to get the calming spray when these run out, as that can be used in carriers for vet trips and other specific places around the house. These plug ins only work in the area they are plugged in and are more limited. They do create an oily residue around the plug in. I initially plugged into a power strip on my wall, but after 2 days i noticed all my other cords were covered in oil. So I moved it to a solitary plug.

  We have multiple felines and as everyone knows, "You own a dog , but a cat only stays with you". Cats are fiercely independent and do not always get along with each other. When dissent happens as it will, some felines begin to want to mark territory. The Feliway spray prevents most of that type of behavior. All of our cats are rescues (and our dogs also) and it is important that we supply them a secure place to live. Feliway assists in providing the security that some of the cats need to feel secure and safe.

  This product is working GREAT for my 3 cats. At various times, one or another of them would get Aggressive with another one resulting in bites (serious bites). As soon as I bought Feliway and plugged it in, it was almost immediate peacefulness. They still get a little "Too Playful" with each other but I would say the aggression is reduced by about 75%. I was willing to try anything to not even have to think about possibly having to re-home one of my babies. It is a bit on the expensive side, but I am Blessed to be able to afford it and I am VERY THANKFUL for that.

  This is weird because it's not human life so we can only assume too much. I have an older cat, 14ish years old, and adopted a feral wild kitten off a farm. We had to separate them for weeks, within a week of plugging this into the wall, they started to kinda take to each other.
  
  They now literally give each other baths and cuddle and sleep together. That's after the first purchase.
  
  Obviously results might not work for all, but seemed pretty good in my case anyway.
